As a Physician at Northside Spine and Pain Specialists, Dr. Dua focuses on treating patients using minimally invasive spine and neck procedures that treat chronic neck and back. Dr. Dua has extensive knowledge and experience with abdominal and pelvic pain. He sub-specializes in treating patients with chronic pain syndrome resulting from an injury, cancer, cancer treatment, or other health conditions.
Dr. Dua completed an internship medical school in Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Following his Internship, Dr. Dua joined the Cleveland Clinic as an Anesthesia resident. Following his residency, Dr. Dua completed a Fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the Cleveland Clinic. He then joined the faculty of the Cleveland Clinic. While serving as a faculty member at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Dua gained extensive training in Complex Regional Pain Syndrome while working with Michael Stanton Hicks.
Dr. Dua joined Northside Spine and Pain Specialists in 2009 and now serves as the clinics Medical Director. He continues to follow his passion for chronic pain by speaking all over the country regarding the management of chronic pain and performing the latest procedures in pain management. Dr. Dua is board certified in Anesthesiology. He is also certified by multiple pain boards including the American Board of Anesthesiology and The World Institute of Pain. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Dr. Dua’s areas of expertise and interest are: Radiofrequency Ablation of neural tissue. This procedure allows for extended duration of pain relief from back, neck, hip and knee pain. He has successfully performed thousands of procedures in over ten years of practicing Pain Management. These procedures include: spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal pumps, and complex spinal injections.
